Resumen
Este estudio bibliométrico explora la adaptación y evolución de los sistemas de planificación de recursos empresariales (ERP) en pequeñas y medianas empresas (SMEs). Utilizando la base de datos Scopus hasta el 6 de mayo, se seleccionaron publicaciones relevantes mediante términos específicos como "Enterprise Resource Planning", "SMEs", y "implementation". El análisis se realizó con la herramienta Bibliometrix en R, enfocándose en la centralidad y densidad de redes de coautoría y co-citación, junto con el análisis cualitativo de textos. Los hallazgos revelan una creciente producción científica sobre ERP en SMEs hasta 2012, seguida de fluctuaciones y un leve declive hacia 2024, señalando un cambio hacia nuevas tecnologías. Se observa una evolución en términos como "ERP implementation", "cloud computing" y "sustainable practices", indicando un movimiento hacia soluciones basadas en la nube y la incorporación de prácticas sostenibles. Estos resultados destacan la relevancia continua de los sistemas ERP para las SMEs y sugieren futuras direcciones hacia soluciones más flexibles y sostenibles, subrayando la necesidad de políticas de gestión de cambio eficaces para la adaptación tecnológica en las SMEs.

Abstract
This bibliometric study explores the adaptation and evolution of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Using the Scopus database up to May 6, relevant publications were selected using specific terms such as "Enterprise Resource Planning", "SMEs", and "implementation". The analysis was performed with the Bibliometrix tool in R, focusing on the centrality and density of co-authorship and co-citation networks, along with qualitative text analysis. The findings reveal increasing scientific production on ERP in SMEs until 2012, followed by fluctuations and a slight decline towards 2024, signaling a shift towards new technologies. An evolution is observed in terms such as "ERP implementation", "cloud computing" and "sustainable practices", indicating a movement towards cloud-based solutions and the incorporation of sustainable practices. These results highlight the continued relevance of ERP systems for SMEs and suggest future directions towards more flexible and sustainable solutions, underscoring the need for effective change management policies for technological adaptation in SMEs.
